Acne is a skin condition as a result of excess oil produced by skin glands. This results in inflammation, infection and sometimes scarring.

Acne is very common, but not everyone has what is called clinical acne. Almost everyone at some point in their lives have some characteristics of acne like pimples and blackheads and pimples.

What Causes Acne?

The causes of acne are many. The reasons why some people get acne and others are unknown. Some of the most common factors are:

Hormonal imbalance. This acts producing high amounts of natural oils. Hereditary factors contribute to hormonal imbalance.

Some medications that contain hormones can cause acne. The best known are some birth control pills and steroids. This commonly occurs in people prone to acne.

Some cosmetics can also cause acne in some people. Cosmetics containing mineral oils should be avoided if you are prone to acne. Many cosmetics are labeled “non-comedonal” These cosmetics should be preferred by people with oily skin. The cosmetics do not cause serious acne outbreaks only infrequent.

Traditionally it was believed that certain foods cause acne but this has not been proven.

Stress also affects the appearance of acne. This is because that affects the production of glandular secretions.

During menstruation the gland secretions are increased by what has sometimes aggravated acne during the period.

Treatments for acne

As the causes of acne are many treatments are also varied. Here are some of the most used:

The slight acne is usually treated with topical agents. Among the substances used are creams and products with benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid.

Severe acne is treated with topical substances and ingested. Usually in these cases requires a combination of antibiotics or contraceptive creams eaten and above to keep the hair clean.

In extreme cases when all treatments have failed using a drug called “Accutane “(Roaccutane) The Accutane is a form of vitamin A very powerful. Helps reduce oil glands and therefore oil production stops. The Accutane has severe side effects and is used only when you have tried all other available treatments. Read more about the Accutane.

The medicines sold in pharmacies and stores that do not require a prescription aid in cases of mild acne.

The cosmetics also help keep the skin clean and avoid infections.

In cases of severe or persistent acne is best to consult a dermatologist to try and cure it at home or beauty treatments. The earlier it is easier acne is better. Acne can cause scarring if not treated in its early stages.

It is not advisable to squeeze pimples at home especially if there is pus. This causes the infection to spread within the skin and there is greater risk of scarring.

Today there are so many acne treatments that are no longer a shock to many girls.

Make no mistake, take care to acne and eliminate it are two different things, you must first make the first so that you can eradicate this horrible disease. And when I say “care” is not nourish but to manage it properly because if you do it wrong you could aggravate the problem or end up with terrible scars for life.

One way to take care is to wash the area gently as possible so at least twice a day. It is important to be with clean hands and do not apply too much pressure on the affected area because it could make matters worse.

We may also use a cream moisturizer that has a factor that should be applied after washing the area as I explained before. This cream will work as an attack to prevent acne and if the situation is severe and begins to get very dry skin. This will prevent scarring.

Press the pimples is the worst way to solve the problem of acne, because it could make it to swell and become infected, having to use antibiotics to take this other problem and it will also be a way to create more scarring.

These are the most important tips to take care of acne. Put them into practice and watch the changes occur.

There are several ways to improve and sometimes can be removed.

Eliminating or scar fading

The body eliminates most of the scars, but some remain and these few can be erased completely. But you can improve your appearance; the bigger, strong and old scar is more difficult to eliminate it so it is best to treat it as soon as possible.

Factors affecting the removal of scars include: the origin of it, its severity, the body’s ability to heal and the methods used to improve or eliminate.

How to remove scars
This depends on the type of scar. If the scar is small is improved with the use of exfoliating creams such as Retin A or containing acids. If the scars are more marked is required to go to a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to give them proper treatment.
Usually the scars can be treated as the maturation process of the same ends. This process can take six months to a year.
Treatment to remove the scars depends on the origin of the scar, the place where found, the type of scar and depth. The skin color is also taken into account in selecting the correct treatment for scars.

Reduces the risk of scarring
Scars cannot be totally prevented, but there are ways to avoid a scar larger or more pronounced. Here are some tips:

Moisturize your skin

Avoid the sun or wear sunscreen

Limit alcohol

Limit the spicy

If you have acne pimples prevent yourself you out and find a solution to acne as soon as possible.

Types of scars
There are several types of scars and several classifications:
1 – Hypertrophic scars (high).
2 – Keloid
3 – Atrophic scars (depressions in the skin, holes)
4 – Stretch Marks
5 – Hyper pigmented
6 – Hypo pigmented

Hypertrophic scars
The scar becomes red and often form a cord (or brand) high in the skin. The body tends to remove the scar but it takes at least a year. In some cases you need a little help using steroid creams.

Keloid
This scar is a rise in the skin that usually grows beyond the limits of the wound and becomes a darker color than the skin. It is more common in the earlobe or on the trunk and dark-skinned people.
This scar has a tendency to recur regardless of treatment used. When a small scar is recommended that this be raised circular massage with your fingers with a little pressure to release the scar and no longer as high.

Atrophic scars
They are produced by a process of inflammation such as pimples and chicken pox, injury or surgery.

Contracture
They are usually caused by burn scars, but can be caused by injury when you lose a lot of skin. There are several methods for overcoming one of them is a method called Z-plastic. If you lose a lot of skin will need a skin graft.

Stretch Marks
Scars are considered because they are breaking marks on the skin that may be due to stretching or high levels of certain hormones.

Pigmentation and scarring
It is common that the skin around the scar will develop another different tone to the skin. It can be darker or lighter. They are more common in dark skins.

Scars Treatments

Dermabrasion
