According to new research, people with psoriasis are more prone to heart attacks.

Researchers at Copenhagen University Hospital conducted a similar study in this paper the numbers of people with psoriasis and heart disease. Here also concluded that those who developed psoriasis were most at risk of cardiovascular problems.

Those who have psoriasis should not only look after their health with respect to that disease, but should also keep a healthy lifestyle in order to reduce the chances of cardiovascular problems in the future. It is also important to maintain a healthy weight.

Another research showed that psoriasis is associated with the appearance of skin and prostate cancer. Studies show that some of the treatments used for psoriasis may have increased the risk of skin cancer.

Unfortunately the list of diseases linked to psoriasis is extensive: obesity, diabetes, depression, sexual dysfunction, arthritis and heart disease mentioned above.

The studies in this area are not yet sufficient to be resolved if the psoriasis causes other diseases, or are they the cause of psoriasis.

Do you have a list of everything you take it? Let’s see: a bathing suit, hat, umbrella, two chairs, towels, sunscreen, and games for children and a book to read in the sand … What about sunglasses?

Many people ignore the importance of sunglasses and not used to using. Besides being a fashion accessory, these glasses are an essential element of our health care. Want to see why you have to wear sunglasses? There are several reasons.

Avoid “tan” in the eyes. When we tan on the beach, the sun’s rays also reach our eyes. This can cause redness, itching and irritation. Therefore, wearing glasses is a great protection for our eyes.

Maintaining eye health over time.

If you take care of your eyes now, you will enjoy a privileged view into the future. UV rays can cause cataracts and glaucoma in our eyes, so wear goggles to keep them away from these problems.

Avoid wrinkles.

Did you know that excessive sun exposure accelerates the onset of wrinkles? If you hide your eyes behind glasses will prevent the damn wrinkles appear there too soon.

Avoid skin cancer.

Skin cancer is a dangerous disease. The good thing is that we can avoid if we take care of the sun: If you are tan, remember to do before 11 am and after 5 pm with sunscreen. Do not forget your glasses!

They are spectacular. More than just a protection for our eyes, sunglasses are a stylish accessory.

It is true that tanned skin is fashionable and can be attractive, but are you willing to pay a high price for it? Your health is at risk, so you must protect your skin from the sun.

The sun’s ultraviolet radiation (UVB and UBA) produce damage that can cause skin cancer and aging, causing wrinkles, age spots and dryness. In addition, decreased resistance and affect the eyes.

The skin has a memory and sun damage is cumulative, so it is necessary to protect all times, even on cloudy days, especially in developing outdoor chores.

The types of skin cancer that are related to sun exposure are basically divided into two groups: malignant melanoma – the most aggressive cancer and is fatal if not detected early – and the squamous and basal cell epithelioma.

Malignant melanoma is most commonly seen in fair-skinned people who have had occasional sun exposure and intense, with burns and blisters. You see it in the typical office worker’s case that throughout the year is not exposed to the sun but it burns holiday.

These are the most at risk of being Melanoma. Epitheliomas are more common in people who by their outdoor activities, whether sport or work, for example, farm workers or construction, are exposed to sun all year, “said Carolina Gardiol dermatologist.

Skin care is essential to avoid sun exposure between 11 and 17 hours. Find the shade. Use wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses with UV protection. Do not forget that dark-colored light clothing is best.

The shield or sunscreen should be placed about 15 minutes before sun exposure and replaced every three hours, at least in the most exposed areas. Make sure the sun protection factor (SPF) is equal to or greater than 30. The tanning bed is not recommended as it emits ultraviolet radiation harmful to them than the sun.

The surface of the skin is composed of dead cells that act as a barrier and protect tissues from injury and infection. There are a number of external agents that modify this protection and eventually cause deterioration in the skin that can cause discomfort, affect our health and finally, give a dull appearance that certainly all want to avoid.

Who are the enemies of the skin?

The oils of this skin layer reduce evaporation and helps keep moisture in the deeper layers, giving the skin a supple. However, a number of external agents threaten our natural protection.

Too much soap or body scrub hard or too often removes the protective grease that defends the body against bacteria and fungi.

Sweep germicidal soaps natural defenses and harsh detergents or fragrances can irritate certain moisturizers or drying the dermis.

Scratching dry skin can lead to infection with subsequent development of scars.
Extreme weather, either cold or excessive heat causes drying of the skin, making it more responsive and tight. Also the air conditioning, cigarette smoke and air pollution are harmful because they contribute to clogging the pores with toxins.

An unbalanced diet produces a worn-looking skin and dull. The body is necessary to incorporate vitamins, nutrients, oils and minerals that are necessary to regenerate the fuel cell continuously in our body.

Dehydration is a major factor undermining the appearance and health of the skin. Without the necessary water daily doses (more than 1.5 liters) the dermis is seen as non-irrigated plants, withered and weakened. Water enters the body mainly with drinking and intake of fruits and vegetables.

Obesity and adolescence are states and stages that affect the appearance of the skin, as there is a greater amount of fat in the body. When this ratio exceeds the recommended impact on both health and in the aesthetic. A proper diet can contribute much to reverse these effects.

The age and the passage of time reduce the skin’s natural moisture. The cells are constantly regenerated, but in older people, the body responds more slowly and makes them more susceptible to skin conditions.
Stress, poisoning (food, drink or drugs) and lack of sleep affect metabolism, which does not act with full power and this eventually affects the appearance and skin health.

Food also affects your skin type

Not only are environmental factors that influence the healthy appearance of skin. It also depends on the type of power you have, and that the intake of certain foods affects the skin condition, so says a study published in The American Journal of Nutrition.

The function of the skin, the largest organ in the human body is to regulate water loss and to balance body temperature, so it is vital to nourish it. The items most needed are vitamins, minerals and fatty acids.

Among the vitamins most needed by the dermis are the A, C and E. The first is obtained from yellow fruits such as orange, papaya and mango melon also. Even in the milk, egg and fish species. While the vegetables do not contain it, to be processed, may become the same.

Vitamin C acts as an Antioxidant and containing fruits such as grapefruit, orange, lemon, mandarin, pineapple and strawberries and vegetables: espinca, peppers, tomatoes and cabbage, among others.

While vitamin E, which promotes the use of the A, is used in the wheat germ, peanuts, whole grains, green leafy vegetables, milk, meat and eggs.

In relation to minerals, the major source of drinking water is obtained, which provides selenium and this, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, reduces the risk of skin cancer. Fluid also contains copper which helps the development of elastin, a structure that provides resistance to the inner skin, while zinc, another mineral-favors cleaning.

Finally, a source of fatty acids as salmon, sardines and flax seed. Even some nutritional supplements containing these nutrients.

If you have distinguished what your skin type or consult your doctor and also know that food is a basic factor for the health and welfare of the skin, you can choose how to take care of your face.

Summary

Extreme weather, either cold or excessive heat causes drying of the skin.

Also the air conditioning, cigarette smoke and air pollution are harmful because they contribute to clogging the pores with toxins.

A poor diet, lack of water and over the years are added to the list of enemies.

Visible damage
Invisible Damage
Healthy tan
Alternative harmful

Among the most coveted accessories of the summer is the golden glow that remains after a day at the beach. But the damage to the skin that causes the sun can last the life whole. Choose the healthy alternative. There are a variety of products for those who want a tan look without risking your health.

“A tan is not beauty, is how our body which protects against sun damage,” said Dr. Flor Mayoral, a dermatologist and professor at the University of Miami.

The sunlight reaching the earth has ultraviolet A and B (UVA and UVB). These ultraviolet (UV) radiation causes skin damage generally associated with the sun. The skin produces dark pigments to prevent UV rays penetrate the skin, said Dr. Mayoral.

Visible damage

In addition to causing irritation and burning, sunburn cause irreversible damage to the skin.

Stains

Also known as age spots occur in areas of the body that have had more contact with the sunrays. These spots may darken over time and are aesthetically undesirable especially in the face.

Wrinkles

The sun weakens the skin and makes it lose its elasticity. As you lose the elasticity, wrinkles begin to form causing premature skin aging according to the American Academy of Dermatology.

Invisible Damage

One of the most serious consequences of sun damage is skin cancer. Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the United States according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

There are several types of skin cancer, but the most damaging is the type melanoma can spread to organs and bones. If detected early is beatable, but melanoma can be fatal. According to CDC figures, between 65 and 90 percent of melanomas are caused by UV rays.

Symptoms of melanoma and how to treat it.

Healthy tan

In recent years there have been several products that mimic the color of a tan without exposing skin to ultraviolet rays.

“Most of these products cause a chemical reaction that discolors the surface cells,” says Mayoral.

Products:

Makeup: Bronzing powder or cream that is applied as a base or in place of blush.

Lotions that gradually darken the skin.

Sprays and foams snapshots apply for a few hours and leave the skin tanned to rinse.

Professional spray tanning premises specified. This is less economical than the above, but promises more evenly colored.

Dr. Mayoral recommends that you not apply the product in parts of the skin with many folds (elbows and knees) and suggests washing your hands afterwards to avoid yellow hands.

Alternative harmful

Tanning beds can be more harmful than sun exposure.

They emit only UVA rays that penetrate the skin more deeply without causing the initial irritation of a natural tan.

It is more likely that someone will receive an overdose of ultraviolet rays without realizing it, proving to be even more harmful, Mayoral said.

The sun produces vitamin D which is essential for the body. In moderation and with proper protection a little sun is good. In addition to wearing tan products recommended, follow our tips to protect yourself this summer.

As such, if you are healthy and looks good, the better for our image! The three essential steps are: exfoliate, moisturize and tan.

Step 1. Exfoliate

In dermatology, the procedure is called exfoliation to remove dead skin cells, which helps the moisturizing and regenerative penetrate and work better. There are several very effective home options that give excellent results.

Twice a month should apply an exfoliating cream in her arms and legs. You must first moisten the area with water to avoid damaging the delicate capillaries. Then make a light massage with circular motion, spreading the abrasive cream for several minutes, rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly.

The peels can be prepared with common ingredients such as ground coffee and moisturizer or olive oil and salt. These preparations are ideal for the whole body, especially areas of elbows, knees and heels are rough and tough skin. Another good option is to exfoliate loofah or gloves fiber, combined with hot water and soap in the shower and leave the skin soft and clean.

Step 2. Moisturize

The skin moisture evaporates excess heat or cold, loses elasticity and takes on a strained and cracked. Poor diet or advanced age also affects their appearance, and care must be strengthened to restore or maintain the flawless texture of youth.

The moisturizers are coupled with fluid intake, the best partners to make our skin look perfect. They come in three main types of presentation: the thick and emollient for dry skin, lotion or gel for oily or wet weather and special fatty ointments or resistant rough areas like elbows, knees and heels.

For those who prefer to prepare their own beauty products, there are natural recipes that enhance the skin. Sesame oil and almonds are a good ally and can be added to the routine use moisturizing cream and pink and lemon are also great and has the bonus of an exquisite perfume.

Step 3. Tan

Tanned skin gives a sporty and healthy, but always takes precautions in the sun using filters and protectors. Anyway, for those who do not adhere to this alternative or do not have time, do not really need the sun because of cosmetology offers a great help in acquiring a good color.

The natural tan in the sun is the simplest but requires hydrate the skin before and after each exposure. Sun protection is important because ultraviolet rays can cause burns, allergies, aging and even skin cancer. Dermatologists recommend using creams with high sunscreen factors.

For tanning without sun, the most effective products are those containing dihydroxyacetone (DHA). It is a colorless sugar that acts in the cells of the skin causing a change in pigmentation that gives the appearance of tan. They come in lotion, spray, gel, wipes, mousses or creams, as part of the body that will be used, and give a bronzing of about a week. It usually has a particular smell that some commercial formulas have improved and even perfume.

Another alternative to get a good color with instant bronzer’s washable coloring the skin temporarily and go to the first wash, which are perfect for last-minute solutions. You can also use the tanning bed, consisting of ultraviolet UV-A is those who favor the tan. The World Health Organization, however, indicates that these lamps are at risk for skin cancer and should limit its use.

Tanning pills with color additives similar to beta-carotene roasted bring in color and orange in the body, but are not approved as tanning agents and potentially harmful, like lotions and tanning accelerators pills, which contain substances chemicals that may be hazardous to health.

Drinking water is the best way to keep your body hydrated. Dare to do it as a healthy habit!. But even if you drink plenty of water, your skin may not receive all the hydration it needs. If your skin is dehydrated, it will look aged, opaque, fine lines appear and there will be loss of elasticity. Available on the market several treatment options to help you balance your skin. Ask your dermatologist advice!.

02 Sedentary

If you think that the only benefit of exercise is a better body, you’re wrong (a). Exercise is essential for a healthy and balanced life. It helps stimulate the circulatory system, improves lung capacity, combats depression, activates the immune system and slows aging. By practicing a regular physical routine, your skin will benefit as well and look younger probably.

Over time, the skin takes on a telltale yellow and loses most of its natural moisture, looking dull and aged.

04 Poor nutrition

Some foods can positively influence the health of your skin. Diets high in vitamins and minerals, varied and delicious, can not only satisfy your stomach but provide comfort to the skin cells.

05 Sun

The sun is a major cause of problems in your skin. Repeated and prolonged exposure to it can lead to skin thinner, less elastic, where collagen and elastin have been exhausted. Surely will be aged and wrinkled appearance. Similarly, the sun induced pigmentation in the skin that manifest as lentigines or melasma. If the damage is extreme, the cells mutate and develop skin cancer.

Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that originates in melanocytes (cells that contain melanin, a pigment responsible for tanning) and is the most aggressive, because it can spread to other parts of the body through the lymphatic vessels or blood. Generally attacks people whose skin is damaged by the sun and its incidence is higher in women.

The two types of common skin cancer, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are highly curable. However, the melanoma, the third type of common skin cancer is more dangerous.

Symptoms of skin cancer

Skin cancer can manifest itself in many different ways. The most common sign is a change in texture or color of skin, a wound that will not heal or a small lump soft and shiny or reddish brown, or red flat area.

Not all skin changes are caused by cancer, but it is always advisable to consult a doctor. Signs of a possible melanoma are changes in the appearance of moles (hardening, swelling, color changes, mainly growth) itchy, runny or bleeding. Men have a higher incidence of melanomas on the trunk, head or neck, while women tend to present in the arms and legs.

Skin cancer prevention

The best way to prevent skin cancer is sun protection.

Use a waterproof sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15 every time you’re out.

Avoid outdoor activities between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, when the sun is most intense.

Wear a hat and sunglasses

To counter this, scientists have found that eating plenty of tomatoes in our diet help and much to prevent these evils, with the tomato a protector of 1.3 compared to a sunscreen, which should also be eaten, but combined with the natural effect of tomato help you be totally prevented before any sun exposure.

Tomato has a powerful antioxidant known as lycopene, a substance that gives color to tomatoes and is unique to counteract ultraviolet rays that the sun often produce, which also serves for those who want to keep your skin young and fresh as an effect of sun exposure is the same thing, out from the fires that usually occur.

So knowing this great home solar counteractant is recommended to increase the amount of tomato to your diet or starting to use it, if I did not before, this combined with a good sunscreen will not bring problems in the near future.

You protectors to prevent spots, premature aging, burn, or melanoma (skin cancer), this because when tanning, ultraviolet radiation damages skin cells and alter the function of collagen and elastin.

How much sun can you take? Depends on your skin color, the place where I do, the time of year and time.
• The omega-3 fatty acids protect against dehydration. In addition, act as agents relieving you inflammatory skin lesions. Get them fish such as herring, tuna, salmon and sardines. Also get those in nuts and soy.

• Vitamin C has antioxidant properties. Another function is the synthesis of collagen, which forms part of the structure of the skin. Consume them in citrus fruits such as oranges, tangerine, lemon and grapefruit.

• Vitamin E also has antioxidant and healing is essential in the repair of the alterations produced by the sun on the skin. Find it in olive oil, avocado and egg yolk.
