Let Your Child Take The Food Allergy Skin Test.

It seems normal that children who are very active get cuts, bruises, wounds, and even rashes all the time but how can you be so sure that it is not a food allergy skin rash? One of the things you should consider that your child might be allergic is the family health history of you and your spouse. Some food allergy skin rash may be derived from genetics so if you or your spouse have allergies, there’s a good chances that your children might have them too.

In our case, I have always been allergic to protein sourced from meat and my wife, on the other hand, is allergic to eggs and chicken. Our eldest son Eric is not allergic to any type of food but when George came, he showed signs of hives when he ate meat at one of his friends’ birthday party.

As a precaution, we brought him to an allergist for an allergy skin test. We didn’t want to take any chances regarding his health and safety so we did what we had to do. While waiting for the result, I was reading a book called “Hive: The Road to Diagnosis and Treatment of Urticaria” in the clinic’s reception area and I thought that the book was really informative. If we were to raise George with severe food allergies, we just got to have a copy of the book.

The test results showed that George’s hives are caused by meat products and the allergist advised us to consult a nutritionist for designing George’s meals without worrying about any gap in his daily nutritional intake. The causes of skin allergy in my youngest son will totally make things turn around in our home.

I know I had to make things work if George’s condition will affect us all. While my wife was grocery shopping for the ingredients needed in our kitchen, I decided to check out the nearest bookstore. I found the book I was aiming for and bought it right away. While waiting for my wife to finish, I was skimming and scanning through the book finding as many information I needed to adjust to George’s condition.

It has really answered all of my questions including some of the questions regarding my own allergies since I was little. The book also featured a workbook that Dr. Alan Wanderer, the author, designed in order to guide you during the process of skin allergy treatment.

When I have finished the workbook for George’s condition, I brought it to our family doctor and had him look at it. He then recommended his good doctor friend who has been in the industry of treating skin allergy symptoms. Because of Dr. Alan’s unique workbook specially made for acute and chronic hive sufferers, we were able to address my son’s condition earlier, allowing him to enjoy life better, something that my wife and I have missed while growing up.

But nevertheless, my wife and I also complete filling out our own workbooks especially when the food allergy skin symptoms begin to erupt. We are aiming to rid ourselves from the burden of hives or urticaria for good, something our whole family is about to enjoy in the years to come.

Some people know him as “shingles” and are sometimes seen as a repetition of this disease in adulthood.

More or less about 20% of people who were infected by chicken pox, especially those with weakened immune systems, are at risk of developing shingles; these include people with HIV / AIDS and over 50 years.

The difference between the diseases, which in this case ignites a sensory nerve that originates in the spinal cord, makes it very painful and uncomfortable.

The chickenpox virus, after causing the disease, remains in the body and hides in certain nerve cells, when activated again, causing the terrible nerve pain in addition to the eruption of vesicles (blisters) along the path of a nerve root.

The trouble starts with itching, numbness, tingling, gastrointestinal discomfort, fever and severe pain in the body that feeds mainly affected the nerve root at the waist, chest, back, or around the nerves of the face or eye.

In rare cases, herpes can infect the nerves of the face or eye manifesting as rashes around the mouth, face, neck, scalp, in or around the ears or the tip of the nose.

Rashes that usually appear on one side of the body, causing redness and slight swelling in the skin and then the red spots that turn into small vesicles or blisters filled with fluid, which are dried and crust over within a few days. Permanent scars are rare and most people recover rather quickly.

However, sometimes the attack of herpes zoster pain is followed by a nerve that runs along the way; this complication is known as post herpetic neuralgia.
