1. Damage from Sun Exposure

An exfoliating removes the surface layer of the skin, the uppermost part of the epidermis, which serves as a protective barrier for the skin. Once this layer is removed, the skin becomes vulnerable to sunburn, wrinkles, sun spots and cancerous lesions. Both chemical and physical exfoliation can increase these risks, as well as professional treatment, such as abrasion and chemical peels, which penetrate deeper and more cells removed from the skin.

Solutions for Damage Caused by Sun Exposure:

* Exfoliate your skin at night while you sleep so that the skin has time to repair the wall and replace the oils that have been stripped.

* Do your best to use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. Every day, and stop the peeling skin 48 hours before going to a sunny vacation days

* After passing through a microdermabrasion or a chemical peel, avoid scrubs at home for 2 days, slather on the sunscreen and stay in the shade for 2 weeks.

2. Broken capillaries Skin

The strong exfoliating or washing with a cloth too rough can cause microscopic tears in the skin and cause blood vessels to break.

3. Broken Hair Solutions:

* Applying a facial scrub with gentle pressure with hands or wet pad of cotton cloth.

* Avoid scrubs that contain particles of irregular shape, such as fruit or crushed nut shells, which can increase the risk of tearing. Instead, choose products made with fine grains.

* Skin irritation, itching

The use of two physical exfoliating with a facial or a combination of physical scrub with a chemical, such as a lotion exfoliation followed by cholic acid can be removed too protective layer of the skin and increase its sensitivity.

Solutions for skin irritation:

* Use physical or chemical peels, but not at the same time.

4. Damage After waxing

Some chemical peels may weaken the bonds between cells, making it easier for the wax to remove a deeper layer of skin.

Remedy:

* Stop using products containing alpha hydroxy acids or retinoids at least one week before the appointment with the beautician in the regime of skin care.

What is clear is that whenever an allergic reaction occurs because you have previously existed, at some point, exposure to one of the many allergens that exist. Once it has started reaction allergic, the immune system very sensitive to certain substances, wrongly believed that the body is being attacked by them, when in reality, harmless substances are not harmful at all. However, in this alert, the immune system begins to release eosinophils and IgE, as well as other types of cells, called antibodies, to address the alleged invasion, usually infectious viruses and bacteria, which believes it is occurring at the time. All this translates into our external body inflammation levels more or less weight and discomfort of some magnitude.

Reactions in general are usually not too important, although dependent on many factors in our environment. These irritations are often hives, swelling, rashes and itching, but sometimes can also create some danger, especially in cases where there are breathing problems or blood pressure falls.

Experts generally agree that the best way to treat allergic reactions is prevention, that is, try to stay away from allergens to know. In this way, able to avoid the unpleasant symptoms and irritations that cause allergies each year in much of the population.

It is a way to keep alert to the body. Although stress has a positive role in humans, which is to create a state of attention and prompt response to adversity, to experience a sustained and intense can affect our physical and emotional. It is therefore necessary to learn to channel it and make the best party. To a situation of prolonged stress, the body’s response is through tiredness, fatigue or sickly.

The skin reacts to the state showing no color, with signs of fatigue and premature aging. Our skin is experiencing stress in two ways: from within the body due to disease, poor nutrition, stress caused by work or family, and outside, due to environmental pollution, noise or working long periods near closed.

We can suffer stress without realizing it, as it is manifested in many ways, such as lack of appetite, difficulty sleeping, muscle stiffness, loss of sexual appetite or mood swings. But symptoms vary according to skin type. Stress manifests itself mainly in the peeling, stinging and itching of the skin, for this type of problem is advisable to apply soothing cream for sensitive skin. When the skin is “off” and with a tone that gives a sickly appearance, may be due to contamination or lack of hydration. We must implement restorative creams day and night.

How does it affect your skin?

According to the journal of aesthetics, the 10 largest effects of stress on your skin are: acne, eczema, psoriasis, itching, hair loss, excessive sweating, rosacea, dandruff, herpes and oral urticaria. Besides stress contributes to the skin to lose its brightness and look lifeless. Stress also causes other skin conditions affecting the lack of sleep, over-eating, smoking, drinking, and others. Stress causes hormonal imbalances.

Most conflicts and life changes, such as suffering from a skin condition, mean stress and the chance of getting at psyche (mind) and body (soma), which today are accepted as interconnected.

Skin and nervous system have a common origin in the embryo that is the ectoderm and that “leave together” is forever imprinted on biological memory. The skin, the true means of expression, is both the largest of our organs, with its own unique structure and functions, with a rich vascularization and innervation, staying in it the sense of touch. The epidermal barrier homeostasis allows the internal milieu contacted directly with the outside world and its name “relational package” of man, damming as a constituent part of the self. Leriche defined health as “the silence of the organs, skin clarifying concept, where the visibility of the disease show the denial of that silence. Daily events and psychological reactions, triggers could be considered only processes for which there are a certain bias.

What to do?

Initially you have to control the rash with topical medications or creams. But we must eliminate the cause or causes of the problem: stress. Stress can not be eliminated but can be controlled. Some stress is normal and positive, how damaging is to go through life stressed.

There are many studies showing that exercise helps manage stress. Especially recommended are stress management exercises such as yoga and martial arts.

Massage, aromatherapy baths, acupuncture, herbal tea, meditation and the like help reduce stress.

He explained that the keratosis pilaris, also known as “goose bumps” is a phenomenon that appears in various parts of the body, which is a benign disorder of keratinization of the follicle infundibulum, i.e. the upper part or hair follicle deposited certain ‘caps’ of keratin (protein substance essential skin tissue), providing the sensation of a skin similar to a chicken, hence the popular name for this condition, he said.

Among the most common signs of keratosis pilaris are the emergence of follicular papules, i.e. circumscribed solid elevation on the follicular orifice (“bumps”) which can reach one to three millimeters, which may be the color of the skin, pink or red, detailed the specialist.

It is said that keratosis pilaris is an inherited dominant form and becomes manifest in different ways: it is hardly noticeable in some people, unlike others that have intensively. This skin condition usually associated with sensitive skin may even be part of the atopic dermatitis and other diseases such as Down syndrome, among others.

He also said that the first common symptoms occur during childhood, which in adolescence. The winter season also predisposes its presence. Avoid self-medication and consult a dermatologist, it is often confused with acne, this being a false diagnosis.

It is characteristic that by releasing these bumps or plugs are observed under a fine hair rolled. Moreover, in most cases is asymptomatic, although there are cases presented itching and dry skin.

Keratosis pilaris has no cure, is self-limited and injuries decrease as the patient grows. Although treatment is often requested for cosmetic reasons when the keratosis pilaris is very extensive and symptomatic recommend a visit to the doctor for diagnosis.

It may be a passing episode or a permanent condition, whatever the cause, not only can cause skin disorders but premature skin aging and can be more vulnerable to allergies.

Sensitive skin is one of the most common skin type affects all women (and men) at some point in their lives, and especially those found in pre-menopausal. First you say that you need to know your skin type (sensitive, dry, oily) and also check carefully mind that all the products you normally use are appropriate for your skin type.

If you want to know if many of the complaints or problems you suffer, correspond to this case, I commented that recognition (sensitive skin) is quite easy as it manifests:

Itching, peeling, grain, burning and swelling are some of the symptoms that indicate an imbalance in the defense of the epidermis.

In healthy skin, the defense cells to detect and neutralize the offending agent no consequence. But on sensitive skin its react disproportionately defensive cells, causing a series of reactions that are then translated into irritation, discomfort, etc.

The horny layer of the skin, the surface that protects us from external aggression and this does nothing to defend if you have sensitive skin. Moreover, the problem is that this barrier is somewhat worn, peeling, dry and unable to defend itself properly.

A person with allergies has increased sensitivity to specific substances also known as allergens. According to the National Institutes of more than fifty million people in the United States suffer from allergies each year. Allergies are the sixth leading cause of chronic disease in the United States.

What are skin allergies?

Some skin allergies are:

Eczema is an allergic skin disorder that often affects the face, elbows and knees. The common symptom is intense itching that can turn into lesions or blisters. Among the most common triggers are allergens, perspiration, and emotional stress, eating certain foods and contact with irritants such as wool, pets, soaps or other substances.

Urticaria is characterized by inflammation of the skin accompanied by redness and itching. The most common cause of hives can be a viral infection, drugs, food or latex. Some people have chronic hives that occurs in reaction to particular circumstances. Scratching, pressure or “nerves” can aggravate urticaria. The best remedy is to remove the provocative factors.

Contact dermatitis is a reaction produced by contact of skin with an allergic substance that can cause redness, swelling, or itching of the skin. Poison ivy is the most common cause. Other plants, metals, cosmetics and medicines also cause a reaction. Allergic dermatitis can be treated by wiping the skin with soap and water after contact with an allergic substance

What are the symptoms of allergies?

The most common symptoms of allergies are rhinitis (commonly known as a stuffy nose) or hay fever or pollen. These allergic symptoms can become chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma.

Rhinitis or hay fever or pollen is an inflammation of the mucous membranes that occurs when allergens touch the lining of the nose. Symptoms include sneezing, congestion, runny nose, itchy nose, palate, throat, eyes and ears.

How can I control my allergies?

Common indoor allergens such as cockroach droppings, animal dander, household dust mites and mold can be reduced through the direct action of the landlord or the tenant. Work with a health professional to develop a plan to control their allergies.

This may involve taking medications. It may also mean avoiding or reducing exposure to or ingestion of substances that trigger your allergies.
