Correction of scars

scarsThe scars are common and most people have them. There are several ways to improve and sometimes can be removed.

Eliminating or scar fading

The body eliminates most of the scars, but some remain and these few can be erased completely. But you can improve your appearance; the bigger, strong and old scar is more difficult to eliminate it so it is best to treat it as soon as possible.

Factors affecting the removal of scars include: the origin of it, its severity, the body’s ability to heal and the methods used to improve or eliminate.

How to remove scars
This depends on the type of scar. If the scar is small is improved with the use of exfoliating creams such as Retin A or containing acids. If the scars are more marked is required to go to a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to give them proper treatment.
Usually the scars can be treated as the maturation process of the same ends. This process can take six months to a year.
Treatment to remove the scars depends on the origin of the scar, the place where found, the type of scar and depth. The skin color is also taken into account in selecting the correct treatment for scars.

Reduces the risk of scarring
Scars cannot be totally prevented, but there are ways to avoid a scar larger or more pronounced. Here are some tips:

  • Moisturize your skin
  • Avoid the sun or wear sunscreen
  • Limit alcohol
  • Limit the spicy
  • If you have acne pimples prevent yourself you out and find a solution to acne as soon as possible.

Types of scars
There are several types of scars and several classifications:
1 – Hypertrophic scars (high).
2 – Keloid
3 – Atrophic scars (depressions in the skin, holes)
4 – Stretch Marks
5 – Hyper pigmented
6 – Hypo pigmented

Hypertrophic scars
The scar becomes red and often form a cord (or brand) high in the skin. The body tends to remove the scar but it takes at least a year. In some cases you need a little help using steroid creams.

Keloid
This scar is a rise in the skin that usually grows beyond the limits of the wound and becomes a darker color than the skin. It is more common in the earlobe or on the trunk and dark-skinned people.
This scar has a tendency to recur regardless of treatment used. When a small scar is recommended that this be raised circular massage with your fingers with a little pressure to release the scar and no longer as high.

Atrophic scars
They are produced by a process of inflammation such as pimples and chicken pox, injury or surgery.

Contracture
They are usually caused by burn scars, but can be caused by injury when you lose a lot of skin. There are several methods for overcoming one of them is a method called Z-plastic. If you lose a lot of skin will need a skin graft.

Stretch Marks
Scars are considered because they are breaking marks on the skin that may be due to stretching or high levels of certain hormones.

Pigmentation and scarring
It is common that the skin around the scar will develop another different tone to the skin. It can be darker or lighter. They are more common in dark skins.

Scars Treatments

There are many treatments including:

  • Dermabrasion
  • Peels
  • Laser
  • Skin grafts
  • Abrasions to the skin (similar to tattooing)
  • If there are creams hyperpigmentation Surgical correction in some cases.

Home Treatments

You can apply creams that are sold in the pharmacy containing enzymes onion, apply twice daily aloe, castor oil and vitamin E creams Tepezcohuite.
