Flushed Causes and treatmentsThe skin is reddened by several factors. The redness may be temporary and in most cases goes away without problems, but in other cases requires paying attention.

The skin may turn red when irritated, burning, when there are any allergies or reactions to products. Also red for certain situations such as: to feel embarrassed, angry, excited, or through some sort of strong emotion, the redness is sudden and takes only seconds or minutes.

There are many people who suffer from red skin especially the face, neck and upper chest. The redness can be permanent or temporary.

The constant redness can be associated with other ailments like having very sensitive skin or suffer from rosacea, dermatitis or other skin conditions.

Causes of redness

There are several common causes. Among them:

1 – Rosacea
2 – Eczema, dermatitis or psoriasis
3 – To be suffering from stress. In some people’s emotions directly affect the skin.
4 – Having sensitive skin
5 – Some foods may cause temporary redness as hot, spicy foods, alcohol or caffeine.
6 – Exposure to sun or warm temperatures
7 – Burned in the skin caused by sun or any other cause
8 – Lack of sleep
9 – Immune problems
10 – High fever
11 – The menopause due to hormonal changes
12 – The environment, wind, pollution and temperature changes
13 – Allergies, rashes and itching
14 – After some beauty treatments (peelings or cleaning)
15 – Any other skin irritation that may suffer Allergies

Prevention and treatment for redness

There are certain patterns that can be taken to eliminate, mitigate or control a little redness of the skin, including:

1 – Protects the skin from the sun
2 – If the redness is due to the discontinuing use of the skin returns to normal.
3 – If it is burned slowly recovers depending on its severity.
4 – Avoid irritants. If you have sensitive skin is red or already has to use products for sensitive skin.
5 – Avoid strong ingredients in beauty products such as glycolic acid, retinol, and others.
6 – Avoid hot drinks, spicy foods, alcohol and caffeine
7 – Avoid high temperatures
8 – If the skin stays red, you should consult a dermatologist to diagnose if there is any condition such as rosacea.
